HOW TO DRAW BETTER IN 2019

Here is my first drawing of the year! I'm not al to happy how it came out, but it looks decent. I wish I gave the legging a grey color instant of black. The idea behind it was black on black outfit, but it doesn't look right to me. An attempt to save the drawing was to go over with a purple promarker and a white pencil, which didn't worked out unfortunately. This is also the first in a long time I drew an actual face with eyes and eyebrows.

DRAWING GOALS

New year, new drawing goals! A question to myself is: How to draw better in 2019? Simple, I need to practice more to get better than the improvement will come. I'm currently sooo far from happy with my drawing skills. So, in order to draw better the focus needs to be on drawing, this time for real. I'm not going to say; 'I'm going to draw everyday' that would be a lie. Instant of daily drawing I will draw 3 times per week, that is doable. My order solution is to draw garments that I most likely would make. It's another motivation to see my drawings come to life. Also to reach my goal, is more importantly to have patients. By the end of year I hope to fall in love again in drawing like I used to when I was younger.

DRAWING FEATURES

In 2019 I want to work on eyes, hands and kinky curly hair. Like I mentioned before it has been a minute I drew an actual face. I will be focusing more on that to improve my skills for these features.

Drawing hands is also one of my struggles. Victoria Secrets has been a good reference for hand poses, well at least for me and I will keep continue doing that. Last but not least is kinky hair, I'll keep using my Pinterest as reference and keep on trying different techniques until I get it right.
